State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI) invites interested persons to the theme of intellectual property to participate in the annual Scientific-Practical Symposium “AGEPI Readings-2012”, fourteenth edition, which will take place on 10-11 April 2012 inside the AGEPI.
The Symposium “AGEPI Readings-2012” is organized with the assistance of Twinning Project “Support to Implementation and Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in the Republic of Moldova”, joining the series of events devoted to World Intellectual Property Day, celebrated annually on April 26.
The current edition of the Symposium will be held under the slogan “Importance of Intellectual Property System in a Modern Society”, being divided into the following six sessions:
Session 1 (plenary): Recent Developments in the Field of Intellectual Property
Session 2: Economic Value of Intellectual Property
Session 3: IP – A Tool to Support Research and Innovative Industry
Session 4: Protection of Industrial Property Rights: Legal and Procedural Aspects.

- Geographical indications, appellations of origin, traditional specialties guaranteed
Session 5: Current Issues of Protection of Copyright and Related Rights
Session 6: Recent Developments and Challenges Regarding the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights
The Symposium is intended for both specialists working in the intellectual property protection field and representatives of central public administration authorities with responsibilities for enforcement of intellectual property rights, of institutions and organizations in science and innovation, patent attorneys and counselors in industrial property, inventors, teachers and students of higher education and vocational institutions of the country.
