On November 14, 2024, the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) was present at the ASEM Student Fest, a festival organized by the Student Senate of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM) on the occasion of International Students’ Day. During the event, Alina Fodea, principal specialist in the AGEPI Communication and Training Division, delivered a presentation on the importance of intellectual property protection and coordinated activities to promote and disseminate relevant information in this field.
The AGEPI specialist explained fundamental concepts of intellectual property, emphasizing their role in protecting innovations and creativity. She also highlighted the importance of young people knowing about these rights, especially for those who want to develop their own businesses. In addition, Alina Fodea provided concrete examples from everyday life, showing how protecting intellectual property can contribute to market success and sustainable business development. The participants in the event received a set of promotional and informative materials in the field of IP. The training session ended with a round of questions and answers.
This presentation was an important step in educating young people about the importance of protecting intellectual property in a globalized and increasingly competitive world.
The festival, held on November 14-15, 2024, offers students a series of six interactive trainings, in various fields such as psychology, diction, leadership and others, aimed at supporting the development of their personal and professional skills. AGEPI thus joined the initiative to contribute to the training of young people, providing them with essential knowledge in the field of intellectual property, an increasingly important aspect for their future careers.
International Students’ Day, celebrated annually on November 17, is dedicated to recognizing the contributions of students around the world and their active role in the development of society.
