Representatives of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated on 12 February 2025 in the roundtable entitled “Scientific Work - Object of Intellectual Creation: Obtaining and Protecting Copyright”, organized by the Republican Technical-Scientific Library (RTSL) within the National Institute of Economic Research (NIER), AESM. The event brought together 110 participants - scientific researchers, teachers and university librarians, of whom 38 were physically present, and 72 participated online.
AGEPI representatives, Andrei Moisei and Lilia Gribincea, delivered presentations on the protection of copyright in scientific works. In the opening of the event, Dr.Hab. Olga Gagauz, director of NIER, highlighted the importance of protecting research results, and Dr. A. Timuș, NIER Scientific Secretary, highlighted the challenges related to their development, promotion and dissemination.
During the roundtable, the participants analyzed several topics such as:
- Classification of scientific results in research activity – speaker Elena Bordian, Head of RTSL, NIER, AESM;
- Protection of innovative results – speaker Andrei Moisei, principal consultant, Communication and Training Division, AGEPI;
- Scientific work – object of copyright – speaker Lilia Gribincea, principal specialist, Communication and Training Division, AGEPI.
NIER researchers, including Dr.Hab. R. Perciun, Dr. V. Popa, Dr. L. Șargu and Dr. V. Doga, actively participated in the debates, addressing issues related to contractual provisions on the results obtained within research projects financed from public funds.
The event provided a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and identifying solutions on copyright protection, promotion of innovation, and ensuring scientific integrity.
