Representatives of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated on 20-21 November 2025 in the High-Level Conference on Copyright – “Navigating Copyright Together in an Evolving Digital Landscape”, held in Alicante, Spain.
The participation of AGEPI representatives in the High-Level Conference on Copyright was made possible with the support of the Project “Strengthening Intellectual Property Rights in Moldova and Ukraine” (EU4IP), funded by the European Union and implemented by EUIPO.
The event brought together experts, decision-makers, authors, rightholders and technology developers to discuss the future of copyright in the context of accelerated digital transformations, in particular generative artificial intelligence.
Over the two days, the participants in the conference discussed topics related to copyright in the digital single market, copyright and competitiveness, the exploitation of copyright by some creative sectors, the impact of technological developments on creative processes and the use of works, a more efficient approach to copyright at European and international level, focusing on multilateral cooperation, coordinated policies and practical solutions to ensure copyright protection, and exploring new paradigms of copyright in a globalised and digital era to support both creation and innovation.
On this occasion, the EUIPO Copyright Knowledge Centre was launched – a European centre dedicated to information and practical support in the field of copyright. The new centre will provide accessible guides, up-to-date resources and useful tools for rightholders, thus contributing to the consolidation of a modern and efficient infrastructure for the management of copyright in the European Union.
AGEPI’s participation in this conference aimed to strengthen international cooperation in the field of copyright, exchange of best practices and information on new trends and challenges generated by digital technologies. AGEPI thus reaffirms its commitment to protect and promote copyright in the Republic of Moldova, contributing to the development of a normative and operational framework adapted to the digital age.
