The State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI) participated on February 26, 2026, in the meeting of the senate of the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (SUMP) “Nicolae Testemițanu” of the Republic of Moldova, during which the diplomas of the laureates of the 2025 edition of the National Awards of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) were awarded. The awards were presented by Natalia Mogol, Deputy Director of AGEPI.
The WIPO National Award for Inventors went to Mr. Nicolae Bodrug, doctor habilitate in medical sciences, university professor and head of the Geriatrics and Occupational Medicine discipline within the Internal Medicine Department of the SUMP “Nicolae Testemițanu”. The distinction represents a recognition of his remarkable scientific and innovative activity, reflected in a consistent portfolio of publications, patents and applied results, as well as his contribution to the promotion and implementation of ozone therapy in the Republic of Moldova.
The WIPO National Award for Enterprises was awarded to the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemițanu”, for its substantial contribution to the development of medical research, the valorization of scientific results and the transfer of technologies with direct applicability in clinical practice.
The trophies for the WIPO National Awards were previously awarded during the International Specialized Exhibition (ISE) INFOINVENT, organized by AGEPI from December 3 to 5, 2025, at the International Exhibition Center “Moldexpo”.
