On 19-20 June 2013, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in cooperation with the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks of Romania (OSIM), Romanian Copyright Office (ORDA) and the University “Lucian Blaga” of Sibiu organized in Sibiu, Romania, the regional seminar on current problematic intellectual property issues entitled “Teaching IP”.
This event brought together participants from 12 countries (Ukraine, Moldova, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Israel, Macedonia, Kazakhstan, Croatia, Belarus, Russia, and Uzbekistan) and aimed to achieve a constructive dialogue on issues of teaching the discipline Intellectual Property in higher education institutions.
This seminar discussion focused on the following topics:
- Challenges and opportunities in teaching IP
- WIPO study for countries in transition on teaching IP
- Evolution of recent methods and experience in teaching IP
- Web-portal for teaching IP
Model of IP policies for universities and research institutions
In this context, participation of AGEPI in the Regional Seminar “Teaching IP” was a good opportunity to exchange and take over the experiences of other IP offices on discussed topics.
