The meeting of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design took place on January 15, this year, in a hybrid format, chaired by Mr. Eugeniu Rusu, Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property, Chairman of the Commission.

During the meeting, 4 applications were examined and it was decided to grant permission to use the official or historical name of the State in the following trademarks:

 with the filing № 054895, with the filing № 054896, with the filing № 054897, with the filing № 054899.

The fields of activity of the applicant for the permission refer to advertising; telecommunications services; education; training; entertainment; sports and cultural activities.

In accordance with the legislation in force, trademarks, industrial designs and models containing the official or historical name of the State may be registered only with the permission of the Commission for Examination of Applications for the Grant of Permission to Use the Official or Historical Name of the State in the Trademark/Industrial Design, the activity of which is regulated by Government Decision No 8/2022.
