The Eighth Edition of the International Exhibition of Inventions “IWIS-2014” in Warsaw, Poland announced its winners

In the period 14-16 October, at the University of Technology in Warsaw, Poland was held the International Exhibition of Inventions “IWIS-2014“, eighth edition. The event was organized by the Association of Inventors and Rationalizers of Poland, Polish Patent Office and Warsaw University of Technology, under the patronage of the President of Poland, Mr. Bronisław Komorowski, International Federation of Inventors (IFIA) and European Association of Inventors (EAI).

This year edition of the Exhibition “IWIS-2014” brought together inventors and researchers from over 20 countries who submitted more than 300 inventions, utility models, industrial designs and innovative projects.

AGEPI participated with an exhibition stand, within which presented the national IP system, distributed promotional materials and promoted the International Specialized Exhibition “Infoinvent – 2015” (www.infoinvent.md), fourteenth edition.

Also, in the exhibition were present inventions of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu” and State University of Moldova.

The works of the national inventors were awarded 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.

AGEPI received the Special Award of the Asian Association of Creative Inventions and the Special Prize of the Academy of Inventions of South Korea.

AGEPI Trophy was awarded to the Association of Polish Inventors and Rationalizers for promoting innovations and scientific results and for the 25th anniversary from foundation. Also, for the development and promotion of the innovation system and scientific potential, AGEPI offered medals to Patent Office of Poland, Warsaw University of Technology and Secondary School no. 6 “The King John III Sobieski” from Poland for the inventions presented.

It should be noted that during the Exhibition “IWIS-2014” took place the 3rd contest of inventions in the field of Chemistry, in which Moldova ranked 7, 8, 9.
