In the period from 5 to7 October 2012, in Balti, inside the National Theater “Vasile Alecsandri” was held the eighteenth edition of the Universal Autumn Expo-Fair “CONSUM Expo” organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, Balti branch and Balti municipality mayoralty.
The Universal Expo-Fair “CONSUM Expo” is organized with exposure of goods and consumer products, a wide range of services, providing a real opportunity for entrepreneurs to promote themselves on the domestic marked and identify new and attractive aspects of collaboration.
At the official opening of the Expo-Fair, Mrs. Galina Codita, Director of CCI, Balti branch, noted that, traditionally, Expo-Fair “CONSUM Expo” gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to promote their goods and identify new aspects of cooperation. Facilitating the access to diverse sources and best practices for business development, the exhibition helps to increase the quality and competitiveness of local products.
Among the guests of honor present at the opening of the exhibition was Mr. Tudor Olaru, vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who said that the Expo-Fair “Consum Expo” is for economic agents a way of “summing up”, presenting and promoting in Balti the result of a year’s work. “It is praiseworthy the maintenance of public-private dialogue through the contribution of local, municipal and district public administration to the organization and conduct of the exhibition event, for the support and development of the small and medium business”, stated Mr. T. Olaru.
AGEPI participated in this event with an information stand and besides promotional materials presented and distributed, AGEPI experts offered consultations to both economic agents present at the exhibition and visitors interested in intellectual property issues.
AGEPI also promoted within the framework of this exhibition the Public Consumer Awareness Campaign “STOP Piracy and Counterfeiting!”, presenting the purpose and objectives of the campaign, citing the need for consumption of original products, use of licensed software, etc. Among those present were distributed promotional materials (brochures, labels, plastic bags with the logo of the campaign, etc.)
The event was attended by 44 ecomonic agents in various fields of national economy, representing different geographic regions of the country: municipalities Chisinau and Balti, districts Rascani and Sangerei, cities Drochia, Ialoveni, Edinet, Ceadar-Lunga, Comrat and Criuleni.
