In the period 17 – 23 November 2014, in the Republic of Moldova will be held the second year runningthe Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW),organized by theGlobal Entrepreneurship Network in Moldova (GEN Moldova).
Initiated in 2007 as a workshop organized by the Kauffman Foundation in the American Kansas City, shortly GEW has expanded internationally, now counting 153 states. During this week, worldwide, runs a variety of events and competitions that inspire millions to engage in entrepreneurial activity, enabling them to promote their ideas and share experiences. Global Entrepreneurship Week is a synthesis of the activities during the year and gathers together businessmen, experts, trainers and those eager to start a business.
In this context and to familiarize entrepreneurial environment with the national system of protection, exploitation and enforcement of intellectual property rights, AGEPI specialists will participate in events organized by GEN Moldova on the occasion of the Global Entrepreneurship Week.
Thus, on 21 November this year, starting at 17.00, within the premises of AESM, will be held the roundtable “Creativity, Innovation and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights”, which will be moderated by Mrs. Svetlana Munteanu, Deputy Director General of AGEPI. In the roundtable will be discussed issues related to the importance of copyright to protect human creativity, ways of legal protection of inventions, the importance and role of trademarks, industrial designs to develop a successful business. The participants in the roundtable will receive promotional materials in the intellectual property protection field.
The second event to be attended by AGEPI is the Discussion Panel dedicated to Creative Industries and Social Entrepreneurship. Mr. Ion Tiganas, Deputy Director General of AGEPI, will inform the participants in the panel about the economic potential of the creative industries, situation of the market of creative industries in the European Union, and about the causes of underdevelopment in this field in the Republic of Moldova.

According to the Global Entrepreneurship Week Program, in the period 17-21 November this year will be organized discussion panels, trainings, workshops, roundtables, during which will also be discussed the startup challenges, finance and taxation, marketing and communication, entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Republic of Moldova, etc.
A premiere for the Republic of Moldova is the organization of the World Women Entrepreneurship Day, by conducting a workshop for 50 women entrepreneurs, by experts from Romania and Republic of Moldova.
Meanwhile, contest finales to which Moldova will have representatives will be held globally. Among these are Creative Business Cup (CBC), to which our country will be represented by EduJoc in the Get In The Ring (Battle of Investments 1,000 000 Euro) – by Choo Choo Baby Carrier, and in the of the Progressive Business Cup finale – by Pronat.
