Today, 25 November 2015, was inaugurated the fourteenth edition of the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT”.
The event is organized by the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), in partnership with the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM), Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer (AITT) and IEC “Moldexpo” J.S.C.
Over 100 institutions in the sphere of science and innovation, higher education, private inventors and creative people from the country and abroad, participate in the ISE “INFOINVENT”. Participants submitted for appreciation to the visitors, but also international jury nearly 400 new scientific-technical achievements, materialized in inventions, products and modern technologies.
In the inauguration ceremony, Director General of AGEPI Octavian Apostol welcomed the participants and guests at the event. He noted that the International Specialized Exhibition “INFOINVENT” is an important event for the Republic of Moldova. From edition to edition, the exhibition has grown in scope and recognition. Octavian Apostol expressed confidence that the ISE “INFOINVENT” will attract investment in innovation and technology transfer, develop regional and international technical-scientific cooperation, foster business-science partnerships and will help stimulate new ideas that will later be converted into inventions, technologies and creative products.
In turn, the representative of the World Intellectual Property Organization, Virag Halgand congratulated AGEPI for the good organization of the event and the opportunity given to inventors to promote their innovative products.
Attending the event, First Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Ion Tighineanu said that the Republic of Moldova has an important research and innovation potential, which can make an enormous contribution to the economic development of the country, given that it will be implemented and exploited with maximum efficiency.
Meanwhile, President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Valeriu Lazar praised AGEPI’s efforts in organizing the event and highlighted the innovative character of the exhibition.
At the same time, the representative of the European Patent Office (EPO), Nina Formby thanked for the invitation to this important event for the Republic of Moldova and expressed satisfaction that the EPO and AGEPI have a beautiful and fruitful collaboration for more than 15 years.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Director General of the Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer Roman Chirca, Director General of IEC “Moldexpo” J.S.C. Arcadie Andronic, representatives of central public authorities, international and national organizations in the field of intellectual property, research and higher education institutions, inventors, researchers and creative young people from the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Lithuania, Poland, Iraq and Canada.
Traditionally, in the exhibition is also held an additional program of events, including roundtables and workshops.
According to the program of the exhibition, on November 26, at 14:00, will be organized a master class in weaving from vegetable fibers (corn husk). Also on November 26, at 18:00, at the Business Center “Kentford”, block 2, floor 4, will be a roundtable entitled “Success Stories of Creative Business”.
On Friday, November 27, at 12:00, in the conference hall of the Central Pavilion of IEC “Moldexpo” J.S.C. will take place the Stock of new inventions and technologies in energy efficiency and use of renewable energy sources.
According to the program of the exhibition, on 27 November, at 15:00, in the Central Pavilion of IEC “Moldexpo” J.S.C will take place the laureate awarding ceremony of the ISE “INFOINVENT”. Among the most important distinctions to be awarded should be mentioned: the Moldovan Government Award “Most Gifted Inventor”, awards of the World Intellectual Property Organization; medals instituted by AGEPI; mentions and diplomas of the ASM, AITT and special prizes and awards of the international invention shows, the representatives of which traditionally participate in the ISE “INFOINVENT”.
Saturday, November 28, at 11:00, in the conference hall of the Central Pavilion of IEC “Moldexpo” J.S.C. will be held the roundtable: “Promoting Innovation and Creative Products with Marketing Potential”. An interactive contest in the field of intellectual property for pupils “From Idea to Product” will also be held on Saturday, at 12:00.
Since the first edition of ISE “INFOINVENT” (1997) and so far, the event was attended by over 1,000 exhibitors showing about 4,000 inventions and cycles of inventions in various fields of science and technology.
